Calvin bred Burpee's Stringless Green Pod in 1898. Strong upright large plant that grows 16-20”. Produces medium to dark green 5 –1\/2 to 7” straight, round, stringless pods. The beans are very meaty, purple seed mottled with tan. They produce fine quality heavy yields that are great for canning, freezing or shipping, and are resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BCMV). I already loved growing vegetables, but taking a plant all the way through its life cycle felt like a special kind of honor, and I quickly saw the value in sustaining organic, important, and rare plant varieties and participating in sustainable food systems in this way. I moved to Oregon in 2015 and have been growing my organic seed farming business over the last four seasons by renting land from existing farms and slowly taking on higher volumes and more varieties. I’m currently growing 1.6 acres of certified organic seed crops and heirloom garlic.","brand":"RESTORATION SEEDS","offers":[{"title":"100 Seeds","offer_id":29826650962,"sku":"12873","price":4.1,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"1\/4 lb","offer_id":40755198984234,"sku":"","price":12.5,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"1 lb","offer_id":40755200032810,"sku":"","price":30.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0129\/8922\/products\/TendergreenImproved_1a56d93e-5c17-4ef3-a2d7-309bd58a37bc.jpg?v=1518037931","url":"https:\/\/www.restorationseeds.mom\/products\/tendergreen-improved-bean","provider":"RESTORATION SEEDS","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
